Inspiration: Soft knit in Premium Merino
Premium Merino from Smuksak is for you who want a soft woolen yarn with a woolly look - but still with a nice and even stitch pattern. The yarn is mulesing-free and spun on extra fine merino fibers with a fiber thickness of 17.5 microns, which means that the fibers are very fine and therefore feel particularly pleasant against the skin.
In this blog post you will get facts about Premium Merino, what you can expect from the yarn in knitting – and finally we show inspiration in the form of our knitting of selected popular recipes.

Premium Merino – this is how the yarn feels and behaves
Feather soft and comfortable against the skin
The fine merino fiber makes Premium Merino a yarn that feels nice directly against the body. This is one of the reasons why it is so well suited to projects where comfort is important - both for adults and for the little ones.
Carded yarn with a rich, soft expression
Premium Merino is the map, and this can be seen in the finished knit: the surface takes on a soft, slightly "woolly" look, which gives the knit warmth and character. At the same time, you get a yarn that still gives a nice and calm stitch image - especially in stockinette, rib and simple structures.
Unfolds beautifully after washing
Premium Merino is one of those yarns that really comes into its own after washing. Here the masks settle, and the yarn is allowed to "unfold", so that the knitting appears more uniform and has a full, soft fullness.
What is Premium Merino particularly suitable for?
Premium Merino is a versatile yarn that you can use for both small and large projects. It is particularly suitable for:
-
baby knitting
-
sweaters and cardigans
-
hats and scarves
