Natural fibers & summer qualities

Yarn made from natural fibers – often called summer yarn – is perfect for light and breathable knitting in the warm months. We sell silk, linen, cotton, viscose and their blends, all of which have their own unique properties. Cotton is soft and durable, linen gives a cool, rustic look, silk adds luxury and a beautiful sheen, while viscose has a soft, draping structure. These fibers absorb moisture and feel comfortable against the skin, making them ideal for tops, shawls, lightweight cardigans and baby clothes. Summer yarn generally holds its shape well, but requires some attention to fit, as it is less elastic than wool.
