Violetta Purse - Knitamore

Violetta Purse are recipes for fine knitted purses in two sizes, one large or one small, or in a size that can be used as a pencil case.

The purse/pencil case is knitted in the round on circular needle in stockinette stitch with a twill pattern that resembles herringbone. The magic loop technique is used and searches are performed with an invisible notice. Snaps are knitted in double crochet at each end and finally the zipper is sewn on with a needle and thread. The lining is then sewn (on a machine or by hand), which is then fitted into the purse/pencil case. The recipe also includes sewing instructions for the lining.

NOTE: Fabric for lining cannot be bought from Smuksak. Visit your local hobby store.

Sizes: Small (Large) Penal House

Finished goals: Small: 15 x 10 cm, large: 20 x 13.5 cm, pencil case: 20 x 8 cm.

Knit strength: 34 stitches x 36 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 3.0 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Guiding sticks: Circular needle 3.0 mm (80-100 cm) and circular needle 2.5 mm (80 cm) for closing and snips. Alternatively, double pointed needles size 2.5 mm can be used for closing and snips.

Yarn suggestions from Smuksak: 1 thread VIP (Cashmere/Merino) 50 g / 200 meters or Shetland Wool 50 g / 280 meters or Reloved Merino 50 g / 230 meters along with 1 thread Silk Mohair 25 g / 212 meters or Opera (hand dyed Silk Mohair) 100 g 950 meters. It is knitted in two threads in total.

Yarn consumption: approx. 50 (50) 50 g VIP or Shetland Wool or Reloved Merino is knitted together with 25 (25) 25 g Silk Mohair or Opera
