Vendela Shopper - Knitamore

Vendela Shopper is knitted in the round on circular needle in woven stocking with a twill pattern that resembles chevron knitting. First, the bottom piece is knitted back and forth, after which stitches are knitted all the way around the bottom. From here, knit in the round in the same pattern.

The bag is finished with an icord edge and then lined with a fabric lining. Finally, the shoulder straps in grain leather are sewn on.

NOTE: Fabric for lining and shoulder straps cannot be purchased from Smuksak. Visit your local hobby store.

Sizes: One size

Size guide: The shopper's measurements fit if you observe the knitting tension, however, you will be able to easily adjust the fabric lining if you do not manage to fully observe the knitting tension. Be sure to measure your knitted bag before you cut out the fabric to ensure that both parts fit together.

Knit strength: 18 stitches x 34 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 6.0 mm = 10 x 10 cm. 

Guiding sticks: 18 stitches x 34 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 6.0 mm = 10 x 10 cm. Circular needle 6.0 mm (80/100 cm) and possibly 5.0 cm to the icord edge. It is recommended to knit with 2 circular needles the first 3-4 cm when knitting in the round. Alternatively, jumper pins can be used for the bottom. Possibly a double pointed needle size 6.0 or 5.0 mm for the icord edge. 

The dimensions of the bag: Bottom: 14 x 34 cm, height: 30 cm.
