Robin Vest - Knitamore

Robin Vest is a fine v-neck vest with a classic look. The waistcoat is knitted from top to bottom with a beautiful shoulder section and turned ribbed edges.

The robin vest is knitted from top to bottom in half-patent knit. First the back piece is knitted, and then stitches are picked up for the right and left shoulder. These three parts eventually come together to form the body. The body is knitted back and forth in half patent and finally stitches are picked up in the armhole for a narrow turned ribbed edge and along the two front pieces for a fine turned ribbed edge/button post with buttonholes for 4 buttons.

Size guide: Robin Vest is knitted in semi-patent, which by nature likes to give way and pull up a little. The vest is designed to be close-fitting and should therefore basically only have a movement space of approx. 3-6 cm. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL correspond to chest measurements of approximately 85 (90) 95 (102) 112 cm. Measure yourself and estimate your size before you start knitting the vest. The vest can be knitted longer, but be aware that your yarn consumption will then increase.

Knit strength: 19 stitches x 19 double crochets on needle size 4.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm. Note that each needle half patent counts two needles = 38 needles.

Guiding sticks: Circular needle 4.0 mm (80 or 100 cm), circular needle 4.5 mm (60 and 80/100 cm).

Yarn suggestions from Smuksak: 1 thread VIP (50 g / 200 meters) along with 1 thread Kimsa (25 g / 200 meters) or 1 thread Silk Mohair (25 g / 212 meters). It is knitted in two threads in total.

Yarn consumption: approx. 200 (200-250) 250 (250-300) 300 g VIP together with approx. 100 (100-125) 125 (125-150) 150 g Kimsa or approx. 100 (100) 125 (125) 150 g Silk Mohair.
