The Embla Neck Warmer is knitted from top to bottom with braid twists from alternating right and left, which slowly become wider and wider. On the carrier piece, more and more stitches are taken out, which eventually form the fan pattern on the edge.
The Embla Neck Warmer is knitted with the magic loop technique, but double pointed needles in the specified measurements can also be used, just as a 40 cm circular needle can be used on the upper part of the neck. If you want a higher neck, you can knit an extra right and left twist with 3 sts in each twist joint. However, be aware that the yarn consumption will differ from that indicated.
The Neck Warmer fits together with Embla Gloves and Embla Hue.
Sizes: S (M) L
Measure: Neck circumference of the finished work: approx. 37 (40) 43 cm. Height of neck: approx. 9 cm.
Size guide: Embla Neck Warmer is made to sit close to the neck, so that it is warm, but without having to sit completely tight. The measurements are approximate measurements of the neck circumference of the finished work - feel free to measure your own or the recipient's neck and use this measurement to estimate which size should be knitted. Be aware that the neck warmer can stretch quite a bit, as the stitches are cast on with elastic.
Knit strength: 21 stitches x 27 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 4.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
Guiding sticks: Circular needle 4.5 mm (60-100 cm), if knitting with the magic loop technique. Alternatively, a short circular needle or double pointed needles of the same size can be used while knitting the neck, after which you can change to a larger circular needle along the way (60 cm). Auxiliary stick size 2.5-4 mm for the twists.
