Embla Mittens - Knitamore

Warm yourself up with these fine Embla Mittens - the most beautiful knitted mittens with braid twists that wind out on the back of the hand side of the mittens. The mittens have turned ribbed edges at the bottom and sit well on the hands.

Embla mittens are knitted from the wrist towards the fingers with a turned ribbed edge and braid twists on the side of the back of the hand, which become narrower towards the tips of the fingers. The mittens are knitted with the magic loop technique on a long circular needle, but you can also use double pointed needles in the specified measurements.

The mittens go together with Embla Neck Warmer and Embla Hue.

Sizes: S (M) L 

Measure: Circumference: 17 (19) 21 cm. Length: 27 (28.5) 30 cm.

Size guide: To find the right size, measure the circumference of the hand at the knuckles. Sizes S (M) and L correspond to a hand circumference of approx. 17-18 (18-20) 20-22 cm. The mittens fit around the hand. If you have a wide short hand, you may knit size L, but finish as size M. This gives you a wide mitten that is slightly shorter than size L.

Knit strength: 21 stitches x 27 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 4.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Guiding sticks: Circular needle 3.5 mm (80 cm to the turned rib edge) and circular needle 4.5 mm (80/100 cm) if knitting with the magic loop technique (alternatively, double pointed needles of the same size can be used). 4 double crochets size 4.5 mm for the thumb. Auxiliary stick size 2.5-4 mm for the twists.
