Silva Sweater - Knitamore

Thick, soft and woolly. The Silva Sweater is the perfect sweater for walks in the forest, for cold winter days and for cuddling up on the sofa. It is simple, easy and quick to knit and has lovely details such as a high turtleneck, ribbing along the sides and a wonderful play of colors in the expression.

Silva Sweater knit from top to bottom with raglan construction. First, knit a turtleneck in rib, then continue in stockinette stitch down the yoke with raglan openings. The raglan stripes are knitted in rib. The body is knitted in stockinette stitch with a row of rib stitches on each side of the sweater from the armhole down and finished with a wide ribbed edge at the bottom. Finally, the sleeves are knitted with intakes placed evenly down the sleeve and also finished with a wide ribbed edge. It is closed with either regular closure or Italian closure for an elastic edge. The sweater is assembly-free.

The measurements of the sweater: Overall width: 91 (96) 105 (112) 118 (128) cm. Length: 48 (50) 51 (53) 55 (58) cm measurement center back without turtleneck. Sleeve length: 45 (46) 47 (48) 49 (49) cm.

Size guide: The Silva Sweater should have a movement space of approx. 7-15 cm. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) correspond to chest measurements of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Measure yourself and estimate your size before you start knitting the sweater.

Knit strength: 16 stitches x 21 rows in stockinette stitch on needles 5.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm.

Guiding sticks: Circular needle 5.5 mm (60/80/100 cm and possibly 40 cm for the sleeves) and circular needle 5.0 mm (80 cm and possibly 40 cm for the neck). Alternatively, double crochets can be used for the sleeves.
