What is Lana Gatto Paillettes?

Paillettes is a thin and light effect thread in 100% polyester with small, smooth sequins (so they don't feel scratchy in use). The yarn is produced in Italy and is OEKO-TEX certified.

Sequin yarn can be used in several ways

The easiest way to use Paillettes is to knit it together with your main yarn - then you get a festive and elegant twist, because the paillettes give a clear play when the light hits the knitting. However, sequin yarn can be used in several ways, depending on whether you want a discreet sparkle or a more eye-catching effect:

Ways to use Sequins:

• Together with a fluffy follow-up thread (e.g. Silk Mohair, Kimsa or Aria) for a soft look with a glitter effect
• Together with woolen yarn for a more classic base with a sequin sheen and "party finish"
• Only in rib and edges (cuffs, neck, hem) when you want to keep the effect controlled and extra complete
• As thin effect stripes if you want to create highlights and play with glitter in small doses
